Bucknell Weekend Events to be Broadcast on Internet and WMLP-1380 AM
April 4, 2002 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's water polo game against George Washington on Friday, April 5, and the Bison softball doubleheader with Holy Cross on Saturday, April 6, will be broadcast live on the Bison Sports Network on WMLP-1380AM and over the internet at www.BucknellBison.com. The women's water polo team, hosting the Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division League Games, will square off against George Washington at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night. Friday night's game will be the only one on the air, with a pre-game show beginning at 7:45 p.m., but the Orange and Blue will also be in competition on Saturday, playing Villanova at 3:00 p.m. and Princeton at 8:00 p.m. The weekend tournament will be the final varsity competition in Bucknell's Freas-Rooke Pool. The Bison are 6-12 overall and 1-2 in Southern Division play.
In softball action, Bucknell hosts Patriot League rival Holy Cross for a pair of doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday. The first game of Saturday's twinbill begins at 1:00 p.m. with the nightcap following approximately 15 after the first. Broadcast will begin at 12:45 p.m. Bucknell enters the games with a 6-16 overall record and a mark of 0-4 in conference play.
