Bucknell Cross Country Finishes 2005 Season at the IC4A/ECAC Championships

BRONX, N.Y. - The Bucknell cross country program wrapped-up its 2005 campaign today at the IC4A/ECAC Championships held at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Freshman Nicole Falcaro (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Hempfield) finished first for the Bison women and senior Kevin Brown (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) was first on the men's side. Falcaro finished the five-kilometer run in 19 minutes and 49.4 seconds, 42nd overall (out of 146 runners), almost two minutes behind the winner of the meet, the University of New Hampshire's Catherine Parker. Second for the Orange and Blue was sophomore Offeibea Hanson-Hall (New Rochell, N.Y./New Rochelle), who finished in 20:13.1, good enough for 58th place. Freshman Kim Hassett (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) was next for Bucknell, followed by fellow rookie Jessica Hibbert (Woodbine, Md./Glenelg) and senior Lauren Kinsey (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn), who finished the race with times of 20:19.8, 20:35.8 and 21:56.7, in 66th, 78th and 123rd overall, respectively. Brown finished the five mile men's race with a time of 27:09.1, good enough for 45th place, out of 186 runners. Manhattan College's Tyler Raymond finished first in 25:24.6.
Sophomore William Holleran (San Rafael, Calif./Saint Ignatius Acad.) was second for the Bison in 53rd place, in 27:21.3, while freshman Clinton Orloski (Butler, Pa./Slippery Rock) and junior Sean Egan (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Fordham Prep.) finished third and fourth for Bucknell (67th and 68th overall) with times of 27.33.3 and 27.35.0, respectively.
Rounding out the Orange and Blue's top-five was freshman Joe Foley (Howell, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic), with an 88th place finish overall and a time of 27:48.1. The Bison runners will now be preparing for the indoor track and field season, which will begin on Dec. 3, 2005, at the Bison Opener in Lewisburg, Pa.
