Bucknell Women's Cross Country Earns Ninth-Best Team GPA in Division I
April 14, 2004 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's cross country team earned the ninth-best GPA in all of Division I for the fall semester, compiling a 3.538 average. The GPA is the best in the Patriot League and is also tops in the entire northeast, as announced by the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches' Association. The WICCCA published a list of the 100 schools whose cross country athletes earned better than a 3.00 GPA. Bucknell was one of two Patriot League schools to make the list, besting Colgate's 3.110 average. The closest GPA to Bucknell's in the northeast belonged to Yale, which turned in a 3.530.
On the course, the Bison finished fourth at the Patriot League Championships held on Nov. 1, 2003 at Lafayette in Easton, Pa.
