Patriot League Names Nastase to All-League Second Team
Nov. 2, 2004 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Patriot League announced the All-League cross country rosters on Tuesday naming Bucknell sophomore Leanna Nastase to the second team. This is the first such honor of Nastase's career. Nastase earned her way to the All-League list finishing 12th overall at Saturday's Patriot League Championships hosted by Bucknell. Nastase crossed the finish line of the 6,000-meter course in 23:33.96, leading her team to a fourth-place finish. During the season, Nastase has been the top Bison runner in four of five competitions. Her highest individual finish came at the Gulden Invitational on Oct. 1, where she finished fifth overall in a time of 22:53.34. Nastase ran her season best time for 6,000-meters at the Penn State National Invitational clocking a time of 22:31. American dominated the men's All-League selections with six athletes, four named to the first-team. On the women's side, Army led the way with five nominations. American's Pat MacAdie was named Runner of the Meet on the men's side, while Keira Carlstrom, also of American, was the Runner of the Meet for the women. Both the Bucknell men's and women's teams continue the championship season at the NCAA Mid-East Regional on Saturday, Nov. 13, hosted by Penn State in State College, Pa.
